Welcome, Calib!

The Board of Directors for the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank is pleased to announce that they have selected Calib Miller, MSFS, as the organization’s next Executive Director.

Mr. Miller has nearly a decade of leadership experience in food banks. Growing up food insecure, Calib has made feeding hungry people his mission since he left the military. Calib has worked at Food Bank for the Heartland and as Director of Partner Services at Feeding South Florida, where he led major projects, including a $9M USDA Local Food Purchase Assistance initiative. He completed Antioch University's PhD in Leadership & Change Management program and earned a Master of Science in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College.

Board President Terry Pottmeyer said, “We are so pleased to have found a dynamic new leader with direct experience managing food banks, informed by lived experience with food insecurity as a child. While his experience and education are formidable, it is his passion and commitment to ending hunger that made Calib the clear choice to serve the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank as its next leader.”

I’m incredibly humbled and grateful for the opportunity to help steward the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank during this exciting new chapter of growth”, said Miller. “ I’m thankful for the confidence the Board has placed in me and honored to serve such a meaningful mission. Snoqualmie Valley is an extraordinarily beautiful part of the country, and while the region is facing real changes, what stands out most is the way neighbors continue to rise up in support of one another”.

Mr. Miller will begin his tenure on March 30, 2026. He joins the organization at a key moment in its growth, as SVFB builds its $5M new facility, slated to open in January of 2027.

The Board of Directors would like to thank the community for its dedicated support of the food bank and its past leaders, including Interim Executive Director Rebecca Lane, for their work in creating a strong foundation for the future.

A community reception to welcome Calib Miller to the Snoqualmie Valley Community is being planned for April. Details coming soon.
