A Capital Campaign for the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank

The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank has secured a new home that will serve as both a food distribution center and a welcoming community hub offering wraparound services and a grocery-style pantry.
To fully realize this vision and meet growing community needs, we are launching a $5 million campaign to fund site improvements, equipment, and the building purchase—with every donation directly supporting this transformation.

Alleviating Hunger
in the Snoqualmie Valley

As many as one in five households (19%) in the Snoqualmie Valley struggle to afford basic necessities, constantly fighting to make ends meet. The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank works to bridge this gap—connecting neighbors in need with the generosity of those who are able to give.
In 2024 alone, we provided more than 595,000 meals. Still, many in our community—children, families, seniors, and veterans—continue to face hunger.

The new facility will dramatically improve the Food Bank's operations and increase our capacity to support the Valley.
The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank has long served the communities of North Bend and Snoqualmie from the same facility. Over the years, however, the needs of our community have grown significantly—and now, the food bank must grow as well to keep pace.

Our current space is no longer sufficient. We’ve outgrown our storage capacity, the shopping areas are cramped, and the facility provides little protection from the elements—leaving it uncomfortably cold in the winter and hot in the summer. There are no onsite restrooms and no private areas for clients to meet with service providers or share personal information confidentially. Too often, individuals and families wait in long lines, exposed to rain or harsh sun, just to access basic support. As more people turn to us for help, these limitations make it harder to serve them with the care and dignity they deserve.

We are deeply grateful to the North Bend Community Church for their generosity in hosting us on their site for so many years. While they have never wished to displace us, they do need the space to support their own mission—and we, in turn, have needed to find a permanent home of our own. As demand continues to grow, so too does our need for a larger, more functional facility. Today, lines for the food bank routinely stretch over an hour, with clients waiting outside in difficult weather conditions.

That’s why we’ve taken an exciting next step: we’ve purchased a new building to better serve our community. The new Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank facility will be three times the size of our current space. It will offer expanded storage, dedicated shopping areas, onsite restrooms, and private rooms for wraparound services. Most importantly, it will provide a safe, welcoming, and weather-protected environment—allowing us to serve our neighbors with the grace, dignity, and support they deserve.
Here’s What the New Food Bank Will Offer
The new warehouse will significantly improve
how we store, sort, and distribute food.

-
Larger walk-in freezers and coolers will allow us to accept and safely store more fresh and perishable items.
-
Extended food-sorting space will streamline volunteer efforts and improve efficiency in preparing food for distribution.
-
Expanded dry storage areas will hold more canned goods, shelf-stable items, and essentials—helping us meet increased demand.
-
A dedicated packing table will allow staff and volunteers to assemble to-go bags and home delivery packages with ease.
-
A new loading dock and receiving station will simplify the process of receiving large donations and deliveries, increasing safety and reducing congestion.
